An Introduction to Oscar Wilde

Writer's picture: liverpoolirish1liverpoolirish1

Join us on Tuesday 18th April from 7.30pm as we celebrate and also provide an introduction to Oscar Wilde.

Hosted by Dr. Deaglan O Donghaile of LJMU

Deaglan is an academic based at the English Department at Liverpool John Moores University, where he specialises in Oscar Wilde, and in particular on how Wilde's writings reflected his deep interest in Irish affairs, along with his support for the cause of Irish independence.

Deaglans research on Oscar Wilde led to the publication of his book, Oscar Wilde and the Radical Politics of the Fin de Siecle.

We’ll have refreshments, readings and music on the night. Expect an informative night dedicated to a true Irish great.

Please book your free tickets through the eventbrite link.
