Gaire In Eag - Book Review

Rinne Tomás léirmheas ar an leabhar a chriochnaigh ár gclub leabhair le deanaí.

Bain sult as!

Buaileann ár gclub leabhar le chéile gach Deardaoin ar a hocht a chlog. Tá

seisear ball againn faoi láthair agus tá fáilte roimh duine ar bith a bhfuil suim

acu a gcuid scileanna sa teanga Gaeilge a fheabsú. Bígí linn.

Sa chlub, tógann gach duine seal chun leathanach as leabhar Gaeilge a léamh

agus ansin é a astriú go Béarla. Tá an leabhar “Gáire in Éag” críochnaithe

againn le déanaí. Is sraith gearrscéalta é faoi shaol gnáthdaoine I mBéal

Feirste i rith na dtrioblóidí I dTuaisceart na hÉireann.

Pléann na scéalta le dúnmharuithe seicteacha agus foiréigean seicteach a bhí

ar siúl i lár na bpobal. Pléann an scéal deireanach le marfóir sraiteach a bhí ag

úsaid an fhoréigin mar chlúdach dá dhúnmharuithe. Is léir go bhfuil an t-údar

Sean O Muireagáin an-eolach faoin na himeachtaí seo. Molaim an leabhar mar

léamh éadrom.

An chéad leabhar eile:

Thosaigh ár gclub leabhair amach leis an chéad leabhar eile atá le léamh acu.

"Fianaise" an t-ainm atá uirthi, agus má tá tú ag iarraidh páirt a ghlácadh, tá an

leabhar le fáíl ar suíomh Siopa Leabhar. Brú ar an nasc thíos!

Conradh na Gaeilge Learpholl chair Tomás reviewed the most recent book that our Irish

language book club has just finished. Enjoy!

Our books club meets every Thursday night at 8pm. There are six of us at the

moment, and anyone who wants to improve their skills in the language is welcome to

join us.

In the club, everyone takes turns to read a page of the book and translate it into

English. We have just finished the book Gáire in Éag.

The stories deal with sectarian murders and sectarian violence that took place in the

midst of communities. The last story deals with a serial killer who was using violence

as a cover for his murders. Author Sean O Muireagáin is obviously very aware of

these events.

I recommend the book as a light read.

The next book:

Our book club started out on their next book, called "Fianaise" If you would like
