The Summer Comedy Takeover is set to deliver an unforgettable evening of stand-up comedy, spotlighting some of the North West's finest comedic talents.


Phil Ellis – Headliner


Phil Ellis, an English stand-up comedian from Preston, Lancashire, is renowned for his unique blend of off-beat observational humor and dynamic physical comedy. In 2014, he won the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality with his show 'Funz and Gamez'. More recently, his 2023 performance, 'Phil Ellis's Excellent Comedy Show', earned a nomination for the Sky Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and ranked among the top 20 best-reviewed shows of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.


Gary Hyland – Opener

Gary Hyland is an emerging comedian from Liverpool, celebrated for his engaging storytelling and candid approach to life's humorous and occasionally controversial moments. His lively stage presence has garnered positive reviews, including praise for his "good energy levels and lively stage presence" from Notts Comedy Review. Gary has also co-hosted the 'What's Happenin' Podcast', further establishing his connection with audiences.
